[Internet] ZTE Rocket Hub Performance DropJust moved the Hub from my cottage outside Windermere in Muskoka to Markham just outside Toronto. In Muskoka, I had a signal strength of around -78db. In Markham, it's around -93db. Unsure of it's related but the overall performance has really dropped in Markham. As an FYI, I only get 2 bars on my iPhone on the Rogers network.
So, while I like the Hub, performance can really vary. |

There can be black holes of cell service all over the place. I often drop calls and go to zero bars when driving home in North York just west of Bayview between FInch and Shepp. Major part of the city but crappy service. |

Very true. Our SHM Touchpads have superior antennas to ANY cell phones on the market today and across York Region I can get -60 to -99. Sometimes a variance of 10db from one side of the street to the other.
With cellular (on our Touchpads at least) Voice is good better than -97. Data performs in basic functions -99 or better. But the reality is I wouldn't trust my data speed with worse than -91. As well its a congestion thing. Markham has 10,000 people or more on that tower at any given time. Muskogee might have 10 people at the same time.
We had issues with all our company laptops maintaining even edge on the wasaga beach towers during a long weekend in the summer. Too many phones overloading the towers. |

Thanks all for the insights. Moved the Hub to the front of the house and get -85db. Shows 4 bars but still not the performance from the cottage. |
