Start.ca → Apple / Akamai Downloads

Hi rocca & co,

Were you folks seeing your transit and/or applicable caches for Apple / Akamai slammed today due to iOS 8.1 (and last week's OSX 10.10) launch?

Took me 90 minutes to download iOS 8.1 today (full restore, not a delta update) and am wondering if I'm alone in this

Not really, busier than normal but certainly not like when iOS 8 was released. Most people will do the iOS 8 (or 8.0.2) delta update which is under 150MB.

Don't know exactly how big my 8.1 update was, but it went through pretty quickly last night.

it was less than 80MB

Exactly - depends on your device.

Mine was 129MB for iPad and about 80 for my iPhone.
