[Internet] Need to reset modem every day after getting 16/4 bonded channels

I posted in the TWC Maxx forum, but it seems to have been buried.

Last week I got 16/4 bonded channels, but now my modem needs to be reset every morning. After reset, everything will be fine until the next morning. The problem is getting worse each day as now I need to reset multiple times for it to work.

The internet led on my modem is blinking green. The manual says the problem is "The modem router is synchronizing with the cable provider’s cable modem termination system (CMTS)."

Zip code: 91304
Modem: NETGEAR N600 WiFi DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router (C3700)

Do the modem's event logs show anything interesting?

Are you renting your modem? If so, its probably a good time to get it exchanged for one that handles 16/4.

It's an owned modem. It's on the TWC approved list for speeds upto 100Mbps. I'm on the standard internet plan, so my new speed should only be 50Mbps.

Do I need a new modem for 50Mbps speed?

Once I saw 16/4 channel bonding, I constantly lost upload channels until the MAXX upgrade went live. A reboot of the modem fixed until the next day. Is your modem losing connection entirely?

I'm not sure how to tell if I'm losing upload channels. The upstream and downstream LEDs are solid green. The internet LED is flashing green. When I go to the admin module the "Cable Connection" message is "In progress - Please check your RF connection"

Are you having actual connectivity issues or just seeing an error message and things are working OK?

I cannot connect to the internet at all.

Hi kappat,

I am in universal city. I have had this happen to me a few times.

Unscrew the coax all the way off.
Disconnect power
Reconnect coax firm but not tight
Plug in power
Power light will come on
Download light will come on and stay steady
Upload light will come on and stay steady
Internet light will come on and stay steady
Download and Upload light will turn a Blue or Green color

If any of those things fail to happen within 2 Minutes. You need a box hit from
Customer service. 1-888-892-2253 Your Zone office is probably Thousand Oaks.

I hope this was helpful. If not I tried my best. Good Luck!

Did your modem eventually stop needing a reset? I follow a similar procedure to get it to work for the day, but something happens overnight and I have to redo the procedure in the morning. The problem seems to be getting worse as I need to do the reset procedure multiple times for it to work.

Looks like I need to call support.

Hi kappat,

Yes it has been on for almost 2 Weeks now with no dropouts.
Isn't it nice to have the extra speed coming soon.No extra money is what gets me!
