Feedback → forum lock out

i'm a bit mystified. there are obviously rules about what forums you may post in and if you post in one forum you are locked out of another. say what?

honestly, what is this rule trying to accomplish? i'm sure you are trying to avoid having some kind of flame war or another. not sure really. but it seems like this rule was created to suppress a few forum abusers. not all forum posters at large.

no clarification re: lockout rules?

It was tried before the advent of the split, and it really didn't work.

i'm missing something. what did you try?
