I like FF. My only annoying problem is the "unable to load Flash " plugin and have to stop script to refresh. However, Pale Moon and Cyberfox have the same problem on my computer.

It always helps to read the release notes:
»andreasgal.com/2014/10/1 ··· firefox/
quote:
Today in collaboration with Cisco we are shipping support for H.264 in our WebRTC implementation. Mozilla has always been an advocate for an open Web without proprietary controls and technologies. Unfortunately, no royalty-free codec has managed to get enough adoption to become a serious competitor to H.264. Mozilla continues to support the VP8 video format, but we feel that VP8 has failed to gain sufficient adoption to replace H.264. Firefox users are best served if we offer a video codec in WebRTC that maximises interoperability, and since much existing telecommunication infrastructure uses H.264 we think this step makes sense.
While this may make sense to the folks at Mozilla, it's another plug-in to babysit.

Agreed. While I'm sure most people appreciate their desire to give us more "stuff" I just don't understand why manufacturers can't just make it able to be uninstalled or removed easily with a few clicks by those that are not interested. Go ahead and install and enable it by default. All I ask is that there is a "delete" or "uninstall" button there so I can easily get rid of it.

I didn't say that there was not a way to turn it off. I said there was no way to remove it and things like it. Not being active or on is not the same not being there or uninstalled.

i noticed that, with FF 33, the update was not automatically installed when clicking "check for updates"..it gave you the option to install the update, or not.. that was new..at least it was new, to me..

personally, i didn't see a problem with the update being automatically installed when clicking "check for updates", but some people whined about it..

TOOLS - Options - Advanced - Update; see what you have things set to. Default should be automatic.

I am getting fairly constant errors after closing FF after this update.

Keeps telling me FF had a problem closing the application. And gives me the option to restart, or close and send a report.
I do the close and send report, then get a message saying there was a problem sending the report...WTF!

Starting to wish I didn't update.
I was using Pale Moon for quite some time, but they are changing things on their end, so I went back to FF and now this.

have you tried doing a "clean" install of FF 33.1?

a lot of people had issues with FF 33, relating to "old" out-dated video-drivers.. check to make sure that your video-drivers are up-to-date..

another option is to disable "hardware acceleration", in FF's "advanced" settings.. that might help..

I guess for last resort I will try a clean install.
And I hope it isn't due to out of date drivers since mine have not been updated from the manufacture for the last 3 years (Dell).

I will give the hardware acceleration a try and see what happens.

Thanks
