deleting a print job

I don't know the appropriate area to post this.

There is a pending print job that I've tried to cancel and delete for three days. Nothing else can be printed until this one goes away. I've rebooted the computer, rebooted the printer, cleared temp files. I dont know what else to do. It thinks the file in question is 1.78GB!! My next option is slamming the printer into the ground.

computer is windows 7, printer is hP photosmart c6280 AIO.

Are you sure the print job is pending for that printer? I ran into a situation where a print job was inadvertently assigned to either another printer or a fax driver and locked things up.

I second the Print Spooler method. All though I never had to go to the folder to delete a job. I see this happen occasionally at work. After I have chosen to delete said doc, I simply stop the print spooler, refresh the printer and devices window (all items disappear), then start the spooler back up. Again refresh the printer and devices window (all printers are shown again) and usually the print job is gone.
...takes all of 5 seconds to do. (if it works)

there's only one printer in the house, so that's not the problem.

I saw that and tried it, but i ended up having to do it like 3 times. I gave up and went fishing. It seems to be gone now.
