[HELP] Cisco 3560G Series does not bootHello we have 2x Cisco 3560G Series. They worked 24/7 in the past. After we unplugged these and plugged in again, the router won't boot. Only the SYST LED shines permanent.
Consolo via putty does not work. only black Screen.
THanks

Is there any output to Putty during boot up? Are you sure you have the serial port settings correct? Do you have the IP addresses of the switches? Have you tried Telnetting to them from a command prompt to see if any other ports may be open? I'm thinking 22, 23, 80 and 443 for starters. I assume there is no network documentation to hand? |

Did you remember to turn the XON/XOFF setting off in putty and did you double check you're using the right COM port? If you're using a USB to serial adapter, it almost certainly won't be COM1. Use device manager in Windows to find out.
Did you have a bad power surge or brownout lately? Short of that, it seems unlikely two switches would crap out at the same time. |

Dumb Question #1, do the fans even turn?
Dumb Question #2, what's plugging in a device on one of the interfaces do, does the interface come up?
Otherwise 2nd what's been said so far.

Cisco Memory Problem. If they are under Smartnet, get them swapped. If not, not sure what to do or if they are fixable. |
