Verizon FiOS TV → Lagging play on DVR

Got my Quantum system last week, installed new router, and 3 boxes by Thursday...Install had a few bumps but only annoyance so far is the lag in playing recordings, which seems about 5-8 sec with black screen after hitting play?

Any solutions or is this just part of the test process we all seem to be involved with???

Some say they see this all the time. Myself it is maybe 2 seconds until play, or sometimes no noticeable delay.

Try rebooting. I need to do this every couple of days to get rid of the lag

I only have the lag on the recorder not the smaller client box

Is that your situation?

Rebooting works for me. Hope the next update solves the problem.

That's exactly how it happens here. Client boxes seem faster in every way.
