Pretty typical, AT&T is Blizzard's only transit provider, and it gets congested all the time, and pretty much extends back to the inception of World of Warcraft. |

Im surprised this isn't a bigger thread or sticky or something but im gonna guess just about everyone on rcable who play games or do download tests find the evening to be pretty bad of late. it all started a month or two ago when the evening slowdowns started bad pings slower than normal downloads.
I opened a ticket and was told they found the issue but it won't be fixed until mid November so until the upgrade happens you will continue to get slowdowns durning the peak hours. |

I don't think it's rCable specifically; it looks like a transit issue so it'd be everyone. |

Forgot to mention it's not just WoW it's just about everything cs:s, cs:go and tf2. My wife actually turns off the wifi at night because cellular seems faster for her durning peak hours. Also check this thread » [Cable] Slow speeds |

My pings for CS:GO and TF2 tend to be more than 50ms higher than usual lately during the evenings. |

Yup, I haven't been able to do any gaming as of late even during the day over the weekend. My ping is consistently at 50+ms and huge lag spikes when I'm playing on the XBox One. |

During the day Weekends can be considered as peak hours as most people are off during the weekend. |
|
|
I understand that. I've been getting 50ms ping on speedtest even on off hours making gaming virtually impossible. I'll just have to wait for this mid-november fix. |

I have the same problem while playing Final Fantasy XIV and connecting to servers in Japan from Montreal. The connection is chaotic from 19:30. however, connecting to the servers in Montreal shows no issue.
I'm on DSL 15/1, everything is turned off ( no net activity except the game ) |
|

BTW, the connection to Japan was always slow ( ping around 250ms ) but it was playable ( even with endgame raids ). Now it is not. I tried WTFast and it seems to be better. |

Unless you're explicitly connecting to the Japanese FFXIV servers, the North American servers are all hosted in the US. |

This is getting ridiculous. 500+world ms today. |

I was happy that the last few days it has been averaging 250-300 here, last week I was spiking to 3400 and averaging about 900, we are on Tek via Cogeco. |

If you carefully take a look at the backbone map in Canada, you'll notice we don't have any solid connection between Michigan to Ontario, and we seem to route around the Detroit and Windsor area to New York or Boston. Also, Canada seems to be using 45Mbps lines across the country still, so our packets are delayed even further. » maps.level3.com/default/ ··· G6_nF_uMIts a interactive map, pretty much shows a BIG gaping hole between toronto to windsor. This is why I have a huge issue connecting to a friend's computer in Michigan from Ontario, but oddly he can ping me at a much lower latency. |

I've been getting ridiculous pings lately. Between 150 to 250. I guess it's not just me. |

With the wow launch I'm sure a number of our hops to get to their servers are getting saturated these days, especially 7-11 every night. |

This does not appear to be a problem with blizzard servers. |
|
|
It is a problem with Teksavvy, despite what they try to tell you otherwise. Otherwise, tons of people would be complaining. |

my ping to the washington server has went over 50 all week, usually its in the low 20s on CSGO hope it will be fixed soon |
|

+1 with latency problems.
In CSGO, my ping is usually around 50-60 ms. These past few days, it's been up to 150-180 ms.
Edit: I'm currently in Markham on rCable |

The WoW/HS issue has been going on for the past year, and it's for all blizzard games. There are times where everything is fine, and other time when everything unplayable. |
