Zoom modem died 5350

I had a spare, they said they didn't know whether it was DOCSYS 2 or 3
I have no idea what they are talking about. They provisioned the spare I had.
I like to have a spare on hand. They said they didn't know if the modem could handle the speed I have which is 60mbs.

Basically looking for a spare, something relatively cheap, reliable and easy configure for port forwarding. I have an external time capsule so I don't need wireless.

Why dont you run by the Charter office and pick up the free modem that is included with your service?

Exactly what I might do even, when my Zoom modem dies. If modems are still free then? I'm not looking at that lasting forever though.

What you are asking about with port forwarding is a modem router combo. Which personally i will never use. Better to just have dedicated router for that. As for your spare, all you have to do is go on google and search "(modem name) (model number) specs" and should find all info you need to know about it.

Shouldn't really need a spare modem as they tend to be pretty reliable.
