[AZ] VERY Slow speed in Surprise AZ this morning

Seems something is going on in the west valley.
Here in Surprise AZ download speed has dropped below 1 Mbps and up load is faster
Anyone else see it or know why?

Same here at I-17&T-Bird Phoenix. Speed Test shows download below 1 Mbps compared to my usual 100 Mbps.

I'm seeing similar routing issues as well.. 20%+ loss 100-150ms to LAX.. seems like some routing path switched ~12 hours ago. yay.

Thanks and it is always great to see a quick answer.
By the way have you all seem actually that 2X speed increase as COX has advertised?

so frustrating man. when my ssh connections are not dropping from the random loss, they're stalling out and lagging hard.. i'm so glad I pay cox ~$350 month for various services. asdfhjfafhdafhkjlasfhjk

Seeing slow load times out in Mesa (Higley & Brown) as well. I am over on data this month, so that was the issue at first. Speed tests are all over the place, from 250kbps to over 100mbps.

I just noticed this, went and ran a speedtest. I get 100mbps to ONE server Tucson, the rest are 100ms ping.

Who killed the datacenter?

from a NOC contact at a large tier 1 ISP I have connectivity with at PhoenixNAP:

That seems to be because we don't see a route announcement from cox for
that particular ip [68.231.0.0/17] so the return path gets routed through telia and
level3 instead. The loss we're seeing appears to be within level3's network before it gets handed back to cox.

Very slow in Gilbert too. Trying to download IE and it estimated download time is 4hr/s

Tried to call Cox before checking here and getting all circuits are busy.

It looks like we have an outage declared for this now. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Now would be an excellent time for Cox to peer with Abovenet/Zayo here in PHX.

I can't believe they could not detect and acknowledge the outage sooner. You could not call the HD because the phones were jammed and twitter and several of the sites that monitor Cox issues were all hot with reports of slowness.

Do you have an ETA for repair beyond "hopefully it won't be too much longer"? This has been going on since early this morning. It's been almost impossible to get any remote work done.

I hear that! Voip calls, spotty. Tmobile wifi calls, of course spotty. Can't access Gmail without a 10 minute wait, can't even stream somaFM. I might as well go back to bed. I think it should be allowed to call in for a "no internet" day, because that's what I'm going to do.
