[Serious] Train derails in to Quebec River

Is this going to be another of those disaster train stories? Environmental or otherwise? Conductor missing and feared drowned.

The Quebec North Shore & Labrador (QNSL) train was travelling from Sept-Îles to Labrador City when it was hit by a landslide. The locomotive and up to seven cars left the tracks and tumbled down an embankment.
Sounds like a typical 'hazards of the north' type disaster, The cars were empty and it was a landslide that kicked the train into the water.

There really isn't much to prevent this type of accident from happening to be brutally honest as this is an act of god and not of negligence.

Awesome timing, to have a landslide hit the front of the train just as it passes by.

I see snow, given that the rail line seems cut into the cliff its possible that a change in temperature triggered the slide. The question is did the rail company regularly do maintenance and inspections on the track (including the cliff) at this point? An investigation will have to be done to sort out all the factors.

This is the first time I ever remember Labrador City ever being mentioned in the news.
