Typically the premise is people now, today, use maybe ten percent of the brain at most. The movie Lucy suggests that by accident of a synthetic drug OD, boosts the capacity to use her brain to one hundred percent and confers some extraordinary abilities upon her. Its a bit way out there. It was on OK movie, but nothing to crow home about.
Somewhat similar to John Dies At The End, in respect to drugs enhancing cerebral abilities. Psychokinesis, time/space manipulation, etc., have a feeling there will be a sequel.
I expect I'll see it eventually--once it shows up on Netflix or Amazon Instant Video... but I'm pretty sure I won't believe it. (It ain't her brain that everyone wants to see. )
Yep, same old sad premise. The fact is, though, that people are today very much the same as they've always been. Homo Sapiens has progressed hardly at all since it appeared. Nothing can actually enhance brain function all that much; modify it perhaps with caffeine or alcohol or some other drug, but not necessarily to any real benefit.
It was a decent movie but nothing too awesome really. Also does anyone really know where this whole "people only use 10% of their brain power" thing started?

Not sure but some MRI's and such have kinda busted that myth.
thought we might not consciously have control of 100% it is all used.
