That's assuming they weren't aiming for the fiber to begin with... |

When I read the description last night I had to do a double take on the Location again as of course Ferguson was first thought that came up.
I was surprised, that a damaged bundle in Belleville was going to impact all circuits in IL and MO. In the end my sites remained up through the night. |

I was also surprised that a cable over there can have that big of an impact. What really concerns me is how is a cable that's evidential a very critical piece of infrastructure for a large metro area, susceptible to gunshots? Shouldn't it be a little more protected? |

Fiber here too. We get notices quite often. Most of them seem like more of a heads up about work that is happening near our location that doesn't even effect us. This is one area I will give Charter props on. Out AT&T T's go down all the time for "maintenance" without advanced notice. |

Charter hasn't done anything like that here in at least 15 years! I remember when I first got their service 17 years ago, that they used to, even though those weren't the most accurate either. |

If it's a main line then it could impact multiple areas. |
