[Chrome] G00GLE Chrome: Direct Download(s)? (offline d/ls)I'm trying to locate direct download links to the full, off-line install Chrome Stable release(s) from well known site(s).
I've combed through dozens of sites with outdated information on doing this which don't work anymore and instead return you to Chrome's main page.
Free download sites only host a tiny stub file which requires Internet access to complete the actual installation. Those are not what I'm after. Please point me in the right direction.
TIA

I tried that link and many like it - they do not work [for me]!
They redirect me to the Google Chrome page but without downloading any file(s).
Are there any freeware sites available which offer the full download? |

I don't know what you're doing wrong. The Google/Chrome page displays a "DOWNLOAD CHROME" button which gets me a 40MB standalone installer file.
If you've got any add-ons, etc, then turn those off and reload the page.
It does work, and if it's not working for you, then the issue is on your end. |

[SOLVED]The problem is in my settings for noscript and about:config settings to fully disable [java]script[s].
I'll try it on another system with javascript enabled and I'm certain it will work as you have mentioned. TY |

Re: [Chrome] G00GLE Chrome: Direct Download(s)? (offline d/ls)I have a question along the same lines. What I am looking for is an extractable version.
Anyone know where to find that?
The links above require an actual install.
What had gotten in the past was something called, "34.0.1847.131_chrome_installer.exe". And that file is in fact a 7-zip SFX, so you can manually unpack it. (Inside is found "chrome.7z", which then extracts into that monstrosity that Chrome ends up being.)
Was my 34.* "Chrome" or Chromium or ? & where can I find similar again? |

If Google doesn't package it up that way (anymore) then I'm unsure how you would be able to find such a package. |
