Bitdefender ?

How to get rid of the pop ups? (free version).

I recommended this but didn't realize it was nagware. (popup in middle of screen while working).

Anyone have experience with the 2015 product and I would guess buying will remove the nagging pop ups... but $80 ?

At $80 I assume that's for a suite or multi-pack...

I just use Avast now as Windows (8) Defender doesn't seem to update automatically if I have Windows Update set to notify but not install. It doesn't nag.

I've discovered how to neuter the popups, though I am not sure what the tradeoff in doing so is. I put mine into gaming mode once they started and haven't seen another one since then.

There seems to be a pattern to when the popups start appearing - I have seen them begin when the paid version is within 90 days of expiring. I do not know if the free version does this.

I'm in the 2nd day of a 30 day trial of fully functional Antivirus+ 2015.

There's a setting to turn off promo displays. Trial activation email offered a $30 license covering three computers for one year. Language suggests (without saying) that price is good anytime during trial period.

At first blush I'm not smitten with BitDefender but we'll see.
