Looking to catch the latest episode of your favorite show on demand?
Catching up on the latest hit TV shows just got a little easier with the newest version of Bright House Networks Bright House TV App (BHTV). BHTV 3.0 will be available for download by the end of the year to Bright House Networks video customers at no additional charge. The app will allow viewers to watch Video on Demand (VOD) programming anywhere throughout their home on their Apple iOS7 or iOS8 devices, Android devices running Gingerbread or higher, and on Kindle Fire HDs.
The updated BHTV app will also now allow viewing of select VOD and live streaming television outside of their homes, on the go.
The BHTV app also will feature a new Recent History tab that lets users view the last ten channels they most recently watched. Other features continue to include the ability to remotely schedule and manage their DVR recordings, as well as easily navigate and search program listings with the Interactive Program Guide.
Initially, BHTV 3.0 will have more than 1,000 hours of VOD content from up to 50 networks available anywhere inside a customers home, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, TNT and more. The Bright House TV App in home programming still includes more than 100 additional popular television channels. Customers will also be able to view live stream television from up to 20 channels outside of the home including Bay News 9, News 13, Bright House Sports Network, InfoMás, HGTV, Food Network, Epix, the Travel Channel and more, as well as outside-of-the-home VOD including AMC, Comedy Central, Hallmark, History, Nickelodeon and more.
So we can now use a rooted device? Would have worked for me a year ago when I had a phone that was rooted.... Now I'm lucky if I can get the damn app to stay running longer than 5 minutes before it crashes.
Well, this sounds pretty interesting. I like the BHN app as it is. Even though it would be nice if it became my Hulu+ killer. As I see it already it will be nice to get rid of some apps on my iPad and simply use this. Given that it works the same way.
