Thanks, Nick. Link to All builds downloads: » www.piriform.com/ccleaner/buildsFrom the blog: quote: CCleaner v5.0 is now ready for download! You have been testing the Beta release of version 5 in your thousands since we announced it last week and we have loved hearing all your positive feedback on the fresh new design!
CCleaner 5.0 sees not only a brand new interface, but also significant performance improvements. We've optimized the internal architecture for better performance, added Google Chrome plugin management and optimized the automatic update process for our Professional users.
We're also close to finalizing a new Disk Analyzer tool, which will allow you to identify and drill down into the types of files taking up the most space on your drives. Watch this space for more information!

And we have in the final, as was anticipated the much chagrined metro look. Doesn't bother me, Piriform, like other software developers and others, must move forward - despite what some of the user community deem as unwanted. |

Reluctantly I will use it ... only because I wish to keep up with the under the hood improvements and changes, however, as someone else mentioned... would be nice to use it with a paper bag placed over the screen. But I cannot see through a paper bag. I much prefer the old "textured look" instead of flat. |

New look doesn't bother me either. Have been a user for about 8/10 years and have used the FREE version. However, when this version came out, decided to go w/the PRO version. Satisfied w/the look and operation of the pro new. |

As we would say up here in Montreal, flat c'est platte, flat is boring. |

I've been using it for awhile. But I'm not too crazy about the new look. Obviously, they had to add the garish colors from Win8. |

Worst GUI EVER! I reverted back to 4x because 5x looks like total crap and was made using MS Paint. There are no smooth edges, everything is jagged...text, icons, check marks. They literally didn't even test it. Worst CCleaner ever developed...how did this pass the powers that be...I want that job. |

Re: CCleaner Standard 5.00.5050said by Racerbob:Reluctantly I will use it +1 Too much white, it hurts the eyes!! Very much like the new Gmail look (which at least gives you the option of switching to HTML). I've rolled back to the previous version. If they decide to stick to the new GUI, I'll look into another alternative once the software becomes unusable (maybe 3 years from now). |

This is in response to jmmorlan's request for skins and mine also:
Megan Sparks, Dec 19 13:34: Hi Pat, Thank you for your email. We don't currently have any skins available for any version of CCleaner, such as CCleaner Professional, but I will forward this over to the relevant team as a suggestion for our software. If you have any other suggestions, or if you need anything, please feel free to email us at anytime. Regards Megan |

You had asked Piriform (CCleaner) for skins via email and they said they would look into it ?
If this is the case many will be pleased to hear they are receptive to the idea.
Thanks for this. |

Yes, siljaline, I went directly to Piriform support today and the above reply from Megan Sparks came about 30 minutes later. Quite supportive, I'd say! |

Most supportive, I'd say. This means a skin may not be too far down the road. They've been listening to what users are saying. |
