Back up now. It was down in a number of cities across the province for a few hours. |

CIk was doing maintenance, not Rogers, to begin addressing peak capacity issues on Rogers network. This was confirmed on the VMedia forums. |

I'm a CIK consumer in the Ottawa valley on a Cogeco backbone and I had an issue arise on the 8th, and again today. Spoke with tech's yesterday/today. The consensus today from them is that their is issues pertaining to an upgrade they are doing.
Only thing posted on their site is a little blurb saying they had a successful expansion at the CIKTEL data centre in Toronto. "A new high performance Cisco router". The techs have resorted to canned statements - call back in 5 to 7 days if issues persist.
Hopefully the issues resolve soon. |

VMedia seriously needs to get independent from CIK and manage their own network, if they hope to have reliable services... Internet is one thing, but TV that runs over shoddy internet will not fly. |

Well the upgrade is likely to address those sorts of criticisms and concerns HiVolt. Unfortunately only time will tell. |

They're already independent of them on Cogeco's network and I haven't seen Cogeco customers reporting any issues since they took over there. |
