I don't have any personal experience with it and not sure if you're willing to go with VOIP, but have you looked into Ooma Office? |

Avaya & Cisco are strong vendors for a multi-site networked PBX - hybrid IP/digital/analog. A good WAN foundation is critical if you're to avoid using PSTN for site-to-site traffic. |

Shoretel. We put a system in two years ago... not a single problem with it. The phones are heavy and feel like real phones too. |

Shoretel hands down. Not terribly expensive and very easy to configure/maintain. Having deployed shoretel, avaya and Cisco shoretel wins handily. |

some people have recommend them I've done a setup using the x16 and it was plug and play with some small config changes for the needs of the business I was doing the install for. They were quite happy with the install and there haven't been any isues with it. |

We use Mitel 3300s across multiple site in Canada - pretty stable system and even comes as a VMware appliance now. |

We use shoretel at work too, very good system. Ours is 3 site, about 300 users.
For smaller concerns, asterisk based systems like elastix are good too, but require a lot more techy knowledge. |
