big three on osterity

There needs to be incentive for competition... no aditional incentive should be going to the big three and you KNOW who they are: ATT, Verizon and Comcast. Any additional taxpayer monies need to go to companies that will DEPLOY FTTP and/or HFC docsis into the big three's footprint and compete by offering better services at cheaper prices. There are millions of underserved consumers out there for wire line and cellular service, therefore there is a LOOOOONG path to righting that wrong with incentives before the big 3 can cry foul. Several states are already leaning towards letting competitors in.. Google already laid the groundwork for deployment in TN.. Currently the consumer loses 3x.. 1st with a monopoly or duopoly, 2nd with ancient wireline technology/progress where it is deployed or lack of a viable 3rd option for cellular, and 3rd with higher prices as a result of #1 & #2.

One can only speculate on how the newly minted GOP Senate will reap what they sow 2 years from now in the H.O.R with losses by GOP when they take money from lobbyists and that agenda makes itself known to the American people (while you can't vote out a Senator for 6 years, you can fire your HOR rep every 2 as payback).. as of now they're playing nice with declining oil prices and passing a budget... let's see how long that lasts and whether diverse high paying jobs make a comeback.
