Cogeco about to switch us to digital. Does Bell usually follow suit?Currently, DSL in my area only goes up to 6mbps. In your experience, when a cable provider forces a neighborhood to switch to digital, does Bell usually follow suit by increasing their speeds to be able to offer Bell Fibe in that neighborhood? |

I don't know about what they normally do in this case, but here, Cogeco switched to Digital about a year ago, and we're still stuck with ADSL2 speeds (25mbps). |

They are independent technologies and have nothing to do with one another. |

It would help to have an idea of where the OP lived. |

They've been telling me about an upgrade since I moved here in 2007. Well it's 7 years later. Bell has to have pretty much killed their customer base in places like this other than the senior citizens who still pay for their Bell land line. |

I don't even know the timeline here in Fort Erie and the only information I ever get is when I see Aecon start digging and a new CSP pop up. |

said by mt99808:Any idea on timing? Absolutely none, Bell keeps it all a big secret. Unless you get a flyer in the mail or see Bell working in your neighbourhood. I actually qualify for 10 or more, but Bell won't sell anything faster than 6... |
