[Internet] IPv6 Outage in Socal / IE?

IPv6 was working fine up until about a day ago. Now I can no longer ping my IPv6 gateway from my router (fe80::201:5cff:fe6a:3646) and am no longer seeing a /64 assigned to me.

Using a DPC2100R2 (DOCSIS 2.0, but seemed to work fine with IPv6) and a WRT54GL running Toastman.

Thanks, all. Probably just me and my old gear (or very localized).

fe80::201:5cff:fe6a:3646 is a link-local address. You will always have this address and is no indication that your TWC IPv6 is working or not. Your router needs to get a global scope address to be able to reach anything outside your own network.

TWC does not support IPv6 on DOCSIS 2 modems to my knowledge. I would recommend upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem (with the new modem fees, a SB6141 pays for itself in less than a year, and the SB6183 pays for itself in less than a year and a half).

Snagged an SB6141 and now am getting an IPv6 address again.

Thanks!
