Looks Like Marvel & Sony Might Have Struck A Deal To Save Spider-Man

quote:
After many years of messing up the character (…I'm referring to The Amazing Spiderman Reboot here, 1 & 2), it seems that Sony has got into the Xmas spirit and they have are finally willing to coalesce and offer us one hell of an Xmas present.

I liked both versions of Spider-man, but felt they could have been better. For example Amazing Spider-man had Spidey's wisecracks down fairly well.

If they are going to "reboot" the series, yet again, I hope they forgo re-telling the origin story for a 3rd time. Maybe this one will be called "Web of Spider-man"?

I like Andrew Garfield better than Toby McGuire as Peter Parker.

I felt Garfield was the right age for Spider-man, where as McGuire seemed a tad old for the role of a young 20 something Parker.

I found the Amazing Spiderman to be much better of a story than the original trilogy. Haven't seen its sequel yet, though. I could not stand McGuire. His portrayal of Peter Parker was too flat for my tastes.
