Constant Disconnect and ReconnectMy U-Verse service started to lose service yesterday afternoon (12/23/2014).
Service: 12 Mbps/1 Mbps; No phone Modem: Motorola NVG510
Issue: The modem constantly reconnects i.e. broadband light flashes green -> solid then service light flashes green -> solid. After 10 to 20 seconds, the connection drops.
I took a look at SNR and Attenuation when the modem successfully connects, and right before the connection drops.
Successful: Downstream Upstream SN Margin (dB) 6.1 11.9 Line Attenuation (dB) 27.0 14.1 Output Power (dBm) 19.3 11.9 Errored Seconds 0 0 Loss of Signal 0 0 Loss of Frame 0 0 FEC Errors 0 0 CRC Errors 0 0
Right before the connection drops Downstream Upstream SN Margin (dB) 6.4 14.7 Line Attenuation (dB) 27.0 14.1 Output Power (dBm) 19.2 11.9 Errored Seconds 11 0 Loss of Signal 0 0 Loss of Frame 0 0 FEC Errors 0 0 CRC Errors 677 0
Last time this occurred was during the summer ~ August. A tech came out and did not resolve the issue. He redid some wiring and said to wait a day for the internet to come back. |

Is it raining, or been raining.... Issue is CRC , errored seconds, a line problem, inside or outside....
Request a tech visit is about all you can do if believe issue is not inside home, such as animal playing with data cable (chewed). |

It hasn't rained since last week.
Oddly, the connection is stable now since it has started to rain.
I have requested a tech to come and the earliest available was the 26th.
