i quite like Timmy's sandwichs (breakfast or lunch) & i like their coffee (Starbucks & the like are way too bitter\strong for my liking) but i've avoided Timmy's doughnuts for years (ever since they started pre-cooking them) .. to be accurate, i bond with my Tassimo more than anything else .. the service is fine for the Timmy's I frequent ..
*chuckles* but i am considering avoiding apples going forward : )) ..
cheers from Toronto .. |

Gave up timmie's too. Their food is just atrocious now and their coffee tastes like crap and doesn't have any kick to it. Started bringing a french press to work and started making my own coffee. Saved a ton of money and ended up consuming less coffee throughout the day because the stuff I have now has way more kick to it. |

Did anyone here know the specialty coffees were loaded with crap? Of course I'm right. There isn't one person on the entire forum that knew it.

when i think about that BLT i got at Hope - even now - months later, it bugs me because I wasted about $8.00 and the government isn't giving apple growers subsidies anymore, so it disturbs me. |

I never understood the craziness over Tim Horton's coffee. McDonald's coffee is better and even the low-life vietnamese coffee shop near my house has smoother better coffee. Tim's coffee is too bitter and it always tastes as if it's burnt right from the get-go. |

Tim Horton's serves bad food and worse coffee. The reason why people criticize it has nothing to do with being able to afford to eat there, and everything to do with taste. I'm not going to try and make an objective argument for one fast food chain over another, but even you're willing to accept that all fast food chains have the same nutritional value (none or some depending on who you ask ) it doesn't make Timmies taste any better in my eyes. |

For about $3 you can have a coffee with two creams and a 12 grain bagel. probably not so healthy but If you're in another city, it can allow you a place to sit down and plan the next thing you're going to do.

I rarely drink timmies coffee anymore. The quality control just isn't there across the board any more. Some restaurants are terribly slow, some restaurants have terrible tasting coffee time after time. Most importantly though, i find that the coffee simply is far too weak and watery for me. I prefer a bitter/strong cup of coffee. |

There are plenty of varieties of Libertarian, both on the right and the left of the spectrum, I have strong libertarian tendencies even though I (usually) vote NDP. At the end of the day it's about how much intervention the government should have in your day to day life, and not necessarily about a political ideology. If you were to ask me, I feel there's plenty of government intervention in my life in Ontario, but unfortunately they're intervening in all the wrong areas. I don't make a habit of quoting Grover Norquist, but... the McGuinty-Wynne Liberals are a government that I wish was small enough to drown in a bathtub. |

Re: Former Tim Hortons customer vows to give up his TimmiesAbout a month ago I decided that I was going to stop going to Tim Hortons when the one just off Highway 25 in Milton gave me the incorrect order 5 visits in a row. It's a consistent problem that Tim Hortons has where their staff just doesn't care to do things accurately. I can't even blame the staff. The environment they work in is harsh and the pressure on them to be fast is tremendous.
As a result, I've decided that the whole chain is going to lose out on my money, which added up to about $20/week.
I haven't chosen to take my money elsewhere either. I mostly spent that money buying a coffee for my girlfriend on my way home from work. We now just make coffee at home for her. |

totally satisfied. their pizzas are decent for a pizza chain...the ones here have a deal for any 2 medium pizzas for $20...that's a pretty fair price and it's pretty good pizza. |
