[Optimum Voice] *66 *69 NEVER WORKS, It's not the area restrictions!

Optimum tech support could not get it to work on one of it's own lines!!!! The CLASS feature set is implemented in such a restrictive way, the only way it seems to work is if the called party has hung up the phone before you dial *66 and the called party is an Optimum Voice Customer and they are very close by!
This is NOT the same as a true *66 feature (which worked on Ticketron for other carriers!)
I have NEVER in more than 5 years of trying been able to do a *69 call return.
I just requested the operating restrictions for *66 and *69 in writing from Optimum tech support and they refused!

"Call Return (*69) will also automatically redial the last incoming telephone number for calls received from other Optimum Voice lines and from certain calls within your calling area."

"You can only initiate a call back for calls within your area code."

"*69 cannot announce or return calls marked as private by the caller.
*69 cannot return calls placed from cellular phones.
*69 cannot return calls placed from a PBX and certain private telephone systems.
*69 may not be able to return calls received from outside of your calling area or from certain non Optimum Voice service providers."

As far as *66 goes, it only attempts for 30 minutes before cancelling.

The information on *69 can be found on the website

»optimum.custhelp.com/app ··· a_id/294

Call Return (*69) identifies the last incoming caller to your line. Call Return (*69) will also automatically redial the last incoming telephone number for calls received from other Optimum Voice lines and from certain calls within your calling area.

The key being "your calling area". Other restrictions are listed

As for busy redial its not very specific on the website as to any restrictions however they are definitely similar

If they can display the Caller*ID phone number on my TV (Don't they?) why are they unable (or refuse to) use this informstion to support *69?
