NVG510 dvr help please

Hello,

I'm trying to reconfigure a security camera system, dvr settings are:

port: 554
Http port: 80

Ip: 108.245.xxx.yy
Sub: 255.255.255.248
Gateway: 108.245.xxx.yz
Dns: 68.94.156.1

Modem type is nvg510
I was able to access my dvr using 108.245.xxx.yy outside my network from home but after resetting the nvg510 I lost the settings and its not working now, I haven't touch the dvr settings yet.
What settings in the nvg510 should i configure? public subnet?

Thanks

mod edit: removed personal IPs

Sounds like a factory reset wiped out any of the rules you created in the Nat/Gaming tab under firewall. Recreating your rules to open the port to the dvr should fix that. Also for your sake I hope that's a made up IP address!

Edit2: Apparently still waking up. Ignore Nat/Gaming since you have a static ip block. Yeah, subnets & dhcp to resetup your static ip block on the 510 to get the dvr to hit the internet on it's static ip.

So my public subnet settings should be as follows?

public IPv4 Address 108.245.xxx.yy
public subnet Mask 255.255.255.248
DHCPv4 start 108.245.xxx.yz
DHCPv4 End 108.245.xxx.yz

Going off your subnet mask you have an 8block of which 5 addresses are fully useable.

So for example 100.100.100.100 used for an 8block:

For you on the Arris 510

Public Subnet: Enable
Public IPv4 Address: 100.100.100.106 next to last of available in the 8block *.100 - *.107
Public subnet Mask: 255.255.255.248 Default for setting for an 8block
DHCPv4 Start: 100.100.100.101 First usuable static IP
DHCPv4 End: 100.100.100.105 Last usuable static IP
Primary DHCP Pool: Private

*.100 & *.107 is reserved as a network base & broadcast address respectively, which makes them unavailable for use.
