[iO] CableCARD seems to be kinda crappy now. Alternatives?I don't know if it's just me or not (located in Nassau County), but I feel like I'm getting less and less with my CableCard and my Hauppauge DCR-2650. I'm running WMC, and also using XBMC to watch TV using the ServerWMC program. I feel like more and more channels are cropping up that can no longer be watched. Channels like CBS Sports Net, FS1/2, etc. Is there a way to use the Cable Box with WMC/XBMC, or am I stuck with what I have? |

Do you subscribe to a package that includes "missing" channels? |

Not sure what your talking about.. a CableCARD can receive any linear channel that a cable box can.
It's possible your CableCARD is activated but not validated / paired with your device. Some channels use copy protection and require the CableCARD to be paired properly to the host device.
It's also possible that those channels require a tuning adapter in your area, if they use SDV (switched digital video). |

What system are you on? Some have more switched video than others. |

The only channels CableCARD will not receive are video on demand and switched video, and for switched video channels there is a free adapter you can pickup at the Optimum store. |
