Basic DSL activation_install fee I'm not considering going to DSL at this time, but with all of the changes and discussion, I looked anyway, and noticed something in the current (now updated) rates on the TSI site which begs a question.
As I checked the rates for DSL there, I saw a $50 activation/install fee for FTTN and VDSL plans, which I fully anticipated, but it currently also indicated that Basic DSL 6 will ALSO cost $50 for activation/install.
Is this a website error ?
I thought that at least during the recent past (year), that there was no setup charge for Basic DSL, except if putting it onto a new dry loop, in which case it was about $20 to setup the Dry Loop only.
Also, I have checked 3 other IISP sites today, and none of them are charging for setup of DSL 6, or they say that they are not as long as no tech visit is required.
Please would someone clarify TSI's position. |

On the same visit to the TSI site, I checked all of the DSL plans and could not find any mention of the setup fee for a Dry Loop for any of them - only the monthly fee.
Has Dry Loop setup (previously about $20) become free (or included) at TSI ? |

Correct! There is no longer a dry loop setup fee. Just the activation fee of the service itself. |

To add, we have always charged for a DSL 6 activation fee. |

For 6mbps, it used to be $25 a while ago. |

Re: [DSL] ** New tiers and changes to DSL or services on Bell lines - ON **I see the griping on 150 GB being the lowest now, personally I am fine with 75. But in looking at the price differences between 150 and 400 of only $3 or $4, would that suggest we may getting closer to the simplicity of only 2 tiers? |

Or is there an overriding philosophy that perhaps there are 3 main types of users (accounts)? |
