[Asterisk] Google Chat Returns to Google Voice

Just set up a new Google account today and Google Chat was automatically enabled when Google Voice was set up.

It appears that Google Chat and Hangouts are no longer mutually exclusive!

Cool; good to know; thanks!

To accomplish this did you have to engage in any of the mucking-around that someone recently posted about on the PIAF Forum, or did Google Chat just come up as an option the way it did back in the "good old days"?

In the past, you had to allow the installation of the Google Voice plugin to your browser and then place an outgoing call in order for the Google Chat 'phone' to appear.

No mucking required this time around.

If their plan is to do a MVNO with Sprint and/or T-Mobile, they should think it through some more.

Sprint: leaves much to be desired. (1)

T-Mobile: desires much to leave. (2)

We are getting here off topic ( there was a discussion about this on one of the news' threads) but one thing is sure- T-Mobile USA rocks, I am with them for over 7 years and a happy customer.
How would Google handle the system incompatibility between TMO and Sprint is off course, another issue.

Which is fine but when the guy who runs their parent company says he sees no future in it, that speaks for itself....

Same can be said of Sprint under new Japanese management yet continued lagging stock price.

Yet both continue riding the wholesale MVNO bandwagon, and appear to be chipping away at the customers of the two bigger boys.

I honestly think Deutsche Telekom knows exactly what they're doing... Starting with AT&T's $4 billion tip.

The guy who runs DT is an idiot. Even if he were correct- and he is not- it is beyond idiotic to talk down an asset where you have something like 60% ownership off. He should concentrate himself on straightening out DT's own problems.
