Is anyone having problems with Circlenet? My phone won't register and I cannot get on their website.

Same here. Not registered, web site down.

It appears both the SIP and HTTP servers are down.

This is first time I've ever seen a problem with CircleNet. I'll be surprised if Sam isn't on it immediately.

Looks like it's been down since 2:20PM eastern time today.

Both west and east servers are connecting for me.

The SIP server is back up already (or failed-over to another).

Yep sorry guys my fault. We had a database replication script go very very wrong at the worst possible time. All should be good now. The CircleNet customer portal MIGHT pop offline again for about 10 minutes later today but all SIP server should stay solid.

Yeah the SIP servers did come back quickly but the customer portal and website took longer. The SIP servers were down for about 10 minutes until the monitoring script noticed the problems and automatically failed over to the backup database node.

The SIP servers will hit distributed copies of the database but the website only uses one so it stayed down until I came by and fixed it.

No problem. Bottom line I screwed up.

I had a database node experience hardware failure (No big deal the systems smart enough to handle it) and I was rebuilding it (Also no big deal).

I had a database replication script that kicked off to do some of the rebuilding and temporarily took another database node offline to speed the replication. I tried to minimize any affect this would have by removing these two nodes from the list used for the SIP servers and also for the website. Instead I prioritized the broken nodes (BIG DEAL I GOOFED!).

It took the SIP servers at least 10 minutes to decide to fail both bad nodes and move to the third good one and the website didn't move until I realized what I had done.

Don't beat yourself up over what turned out to be a very minimal outage.

CircleNet's uptime and reliability has been nothing less than stellar.

+1 for registering Circlenet as VoIP provider for which we can provide feedback here...people have the right to know when they want to make provider choices.
