Re: New Channel: Newsmax TV Ch115I have also seen the documentaries on Newsmax and yes they are very interesting. Unfortunately, they need an HD feed as well as closed captioning for the hearing impaired. |

I find this channel to be very interesting. I love watching old documentaries. |

Just another "news" channel that my media center pc allows me to remove from my guide. |

said by just lou:This channel has some great war documentaries. I've been enjoying them. But as soon as they turn to their "news programming", I'm out of there. Not in HD, so I wouldn't watch regardless. Obviously my fear is that since it was just added, that there's a contractual agreement for an HD add, which would happen soon. |

STILL do not have it in Boston |

NECN is on that channel (along with 615). So where would they put Newsmax - no way do I want NECN replaced!!! |
|
|
I know I would not mind having Newsmax but NOT instead of NECN perhaps they could move NECN to 513 as it is a local tier channel |

Wow, wonder what's going on there. Maybe they don't know where to put it. Did you check through all the news slots, 100-118? |

Oh yes, I see. I am not sure that is happening any time soon, though. said by JPL:said by Branch:Verizon is already iptv... I don't think you know what that term means. No, it's not. That has nothing to do with FIOS, but selling to the new market of youngsters who don't nor would ever pay for current cable packages. |

Can we get this thread back to News max which is STILL not in Boston? |

Newsmax needs to be in HD and also needs to add closed captioning for their programming. |

My personally feelings are when a contract is negotiated by Verizon with a provider for a new channel, an HD feed should be the most important followed by the SD feed as secondary. |

I think we have enough conservative news channels in HD. |

But they don't have room for HD's Housecleaning of little-watched channels would provide room for many more HD channels. My suggestion is to drop the west coast feeds of all the secondary premium channels. I can see retaining HBO and HBOW but there's no need for two channels of all the subsidiary HBO's. |

Verizon makes far more money from HBO subscribers than they do Newsmax. I mean, come on, Newsmax? Their news reports show up as part of the sponsored fake news links you see on Yahoo. They have about as much credibility as the paid links for the aliens on Mars, and crap like that. |
