[OS X] Upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 no issuesJust upgraded iMac 21.5 inch Late 2009 from OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 this evening in about 1 hour, no issues. |

My 2012 Mac Pro runs Mavericks, but I have a "scratchpad" Yosemite partition (so that I can explore OS X 10.10). I just finished updating that from 10.10.1 to 10.10.2. |

I'm using 10.10.2 every day in a production software development environment. While potentially being more adept at overcoming software issues, I've had exceedingly few as compared to the earlier developer builds.
I think it's production ready for looking at Facebook and checking Email, the likely menial existence that most Macs end up leading. |

I'm still running 10.9.5. I have no real issues with this OS. I have an iMac that I use wireless, so the WiFi issues that I have read about Yosemite worry me. I know that this update to 10.10.2 is supposed to fix the WiFi issues, however, my WiFi is rock solid right now.
The only 2 Apple products that I currently own is my iMac and an ATV. Would it benefit me to upgrade to Yosemite? Or should I stick with Mavericks and wait for the next OS to upgrade to? Don't want to hijack the thread (if this should be a new thread, mods, will you move it?) but I was curious about how you like Yosemite? I'd be interested to read how the WiFi is with 10.10.2. |

I cannot speak for others, but I do not intend to switch to Yosemite until at least 10.10.3- not there yet. |

One issue people have been reporting is slowness. I can't remember if it was overall OS slowness or if it was just with quick look. Can anyone comment on that? I'm still on Mavericks. |

I installed the 10.10.2 update on my late 2012 mbpr and my 2014 Mac Pro and have not had any issues. I have to add I have been running Yosemite since it was first released without any of the issues others are having. |

I've run Yosemite 10.10.0 as well as 10.10.1. Now I'm installing 10.10.2. That doesn't mean I found Mavericks wanting though. My approch is to run Yosemite on the older less used Macs I have first and if it is acceptable,....gradually migrate the others. Overall I'm fairly happy with Mavericks though so there is less incentive to upgrade. That's OS X anyway,.... For iOS I don't care as much and just upgrade willy-nilly,..... |

I couldn't wait to get over to Yosemite.... frankly, the SMS messaging and Handoff for calls alone made the upgrade completely worth it. I use those both daily. All good stuff.
10.10.2 seems solid thus far... but I don't push my Macs much beyond email, office, and X-Plane. |

All good stuff. exactly. the instant hotspot was pretty nifty as well. i do a lot of email and python coding on my mac -- as well as virtualization, remote access via ssh, and screen tutorials (think: camtasia). updated yesterday at the end of the workday. seems to be pretty snappy. my mbpr has never had too many issues with yosemite. the real test will be my mid-2011 mba that has had fun with yosemite. it seems to behave on wifi much better (my mbpr is cabled into my network 90% of the time). q. |

just did a backup to over wi-fi to the time capsule, no issues now and have never had any issues with the wi-fi whatsoever. Then again the time capsule is fairly close to the mac. |

I'm going to wait until 10.10.3 and then and see how things are with that update. However, if Apple is going to release another OS this year, which would keep pace with their past few releases, I may stay with Mavericks until then. |

My late 2008 13" MacBook and my late 2014 13" MacBook Pro both installed the 10.10.2 upgrade in under 5 minutes and have delivered solid performance since, with no disruption to WiFi, BlueTooth or other undesirable departures from the norm. In the ongoing conflict of "get-it-out" v. "get-it-right", Apple has evidently chosen to embrace the latter.
N.B. Avoid the 2½ hour download from the App Store by going directly to an Apple download server or mirror server. See bottom of the main Support page for links; download the ~550 MB upgrade on VDSL2 in 3-4 minutes. |

Yea, I never once had a WiFi issue with Mavericks until I upgraded to Yosemite. |

Folder Actions stopped working again. This happens with just about every update. Die. |

I think 10.10.1 didn't do that. That was the exception. Fortunately this time the fix was easy, though I don't know exactly what did it. I rebooted and fixed the permissions. Sometimes it's much more complicated than that. So far I've spent anywhere between 5 minutes and 2 hours getting Folder Actions back up and running after they were somehow screwed up by an update. |

No problems yet iMac 12,1. But the system still writes copious error messages to the tune of 4000+ after 3 hours of uptime. Maybe that's a good thing to someone. I don't think so. |
