[Connectivity] Re: RIPE Down?Around 7:00am Eastern, much of AS7922 (Comcast) went red. But, probes are coming back on line now, mine has. » atlas.ripe.net/results/m ··· ter=7922I didn't look any further than AS7922, to see if it was more widespread. |

My probe appeared to go off-line around noon GMT, but it has been back in service for about 4 hours now.

Re: [Connectivity] RIPE Down?Never noticed. But it seems mine also went dark briefly:
As with NetFixer , mine came back about five hours ago (as I type). PS: ASN 46375 |

I got an email from Atlas the other day about something they were changing. Havent read it yet. Anyone else see it? Perhaps it has someting to do with the outage? |

I've never heard of this probe before. Sounds interesting. But being that it connects to my router, How can I be sure it is safe to use? |

My probe sits on its own subnet, it is restricted to access only the internet. It cannot see my internal network. Others I've chatted with do not even see the need for that level of caution. As I said, it's up to you what you want to do. |

I guess it's a matter of faith. |

said by owlyn:will remain so?   I am on the RIPE Atlas mailing list, and they do seem to be quite open about what they do now and intend to do in the future. Additionally, all the email conversations I've had with any of the RIPE people have been very forthright. ymmv and all that.... |
