[Qwest] Centurylink reneging on Qwest DSL no price change for life ???Are other Qwest users who have DSL and signed up long ago when they advertised fixed price for life, seeing they got a price increase this month ????
I have had the same DSL, unchanged, for years and the locked for life price went up $1 this month. |

Did the price of the package go up, or did they add a new $1 fee? |

They added a dollar to the package charge.
At some previous point they added a $1 "Internet Recovery Fee" which also appears to violate the agreement |

A while back I took the time to read the "price for life" agreement. There is specific language in the agreement that allows these below the line fees. Most companies advertise packages and prices this way and although misleading to the average consumer, are completely legal. I don't agree with the practice but until the FTC says otherwise, this will be business as usual. |

Same thing here with Prism TV. Got a two year price lock, but the price lock is just on the base package. In the year I have had it a local programming fee and sports programming fee have been added, and the box lease fees have gone up. Also regulatory and franchise fees have gone up. |
