Wireless A only on 5GHZ correct? So then, on 2.4 GHZ -1900ac

802.11a works on 5 GHZ not 2.4 GHZ correct? So then,

On 2.4 GHZ wireless settings, what is difference between mixed mode and 802.11 b/g/n only? What does mixed mode setting have that the b/g/n only mode doesn't?

Wish they would add g/n only mode to WRT1900AC. They have a b/g only mode, but I think a lot of people past having b lying around. I have a couple of G devices still.

This Linksys kb article goes a little into the mode settings (just a little):

I myself only use the 5GHz wireless band for my devices, so I keep mine on mixed mode, for that is the only way it will broadcast ac.
