New broadband spec...

I see the FCC now says "broadband" is at least 25/3. So now many WOW packages do not qualify to be called broadband according the the FCC. My 30/3 package barely is in the list.

Wonder if WOW will drop the lower tiers?

I saw that a few weeks ago and I believe it has been mentioned here. But no one has said why the new definition matters to WOW or any other provider.

You say they might drop the lower tiers. Why? What does having all of their tiers being considered broadband mean?

25+ is "broadband internet".

Less will just now be called "internet service" or "highspeed internet".

Lipstick-on-a-pig as most people do not now the difference.

Same folks fall for Comcrud & Mediacom's stupid ads that they have the "fastest in-home WiFi". All do wireless-N in-home which has NO EFFECT on internet speed. Yes, they can do MIMO in-home (as you can cheaper) but internet is only as fast as the package they sub to.
