[Other] ASUS RT-AC68U Real-time Traffic Monitor weirdness

Hello,

When looking at the Real-Time Traffic Monitor.. I get these huge spikes which don't seem to correspond to anything actually happening. Here's an example:

See in the bottom-right where it thinks 16GB of data has been transferred. I certainly haven't transferred that much in that amount of time. BTW, the wireless portion is turned off.

When I look at the past 24-hours graphic then the information looks correct. It's just the real-time that's weird.

Just wonder if anyone else sees this.

Thanks,
Mark H.

Looks like it's something related to Firefox 35.0.1 or one of it's add-ons. Doesn't happen with IE9 or Palemoon 25.2.1

Well, still happens in Firefox using a clean profile (no extensions). Hmmm

...crazy question : what's the refresh period on the "realtime" display?

Just as a crazy thought, get another tool to monitor the data transfer to correlate
what's being seen, or just to see if something's lying or is crazy.

Fixed it by installing the 3.0.0.4.378_3813 firmware. It does mention it fixing Firefox compatibility.

Nevermind. Didn't fix it. :/
