[DVR] Should I prune my scheduled programs list?

I rarely look at my full list of scheduled programs. Today I saw many duplicates, cancelled shows, and other entries that no longer apply. Does my DVR spend unnecessary processing overhead because of a long list of junk? What benefit would I get out of keeping my scheduled programs tidy?

No it doesn't . I have several shows/series that are no longer on. You will be eating extra space if you are recording duplicate shows.

I have duplicate entries in my series list and you only get 1 recording.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

About once a week I review my series and get rid of dead ones. Many times when I know series final is coming up I kill the series and set a 1 time recording.
