[Rant] Cocoa Puffs with StarsThis new Cocoa Puffs with stars isn't winning my taste buds. They don't have the same taste or texture as the good plain old Cocoa Puffs. I've been eating these things since I was a kid. I can't wait for this promotion to be over and General Mills to be done with this nonsense. Breakfast every morning for me is Cocoa Puffs, toast and coffee.

I put peanut butter on the toast which has protein as opposed to butter. |

Strange that it would have a different texture & taste. I assumed it was just different in shape. Have you emailed the company out of curiosity if something was actually altered. Could be interesting. |

Honey Nut Cheerios, Wheat and Corn Chex + Life mixed, Frosted Flakes, or Cinnamon Toast Crunch here. I alternate between them daily. |

normally when they do a promo like this they are making changes.
Kraft changed something on the lunchables nachos
the cheese sauce tastes like crap now
taste like it came out of a can and the texture is like that of canned nachos cheese sauce(very firm in texture )
before it was perfect ( texture was more liquid in nature) |

Its not just the food police its also the executives wanting to make more profits by reducing volume in the box and using inferior ingredients while maintaining or increasing the price. |

Are all of you related to Dude 111?

My breakfast is 3 Milky Way Darks and a can of Monster energy drink.
Most days.
If I have time it is 4 scrambled eggs, 4 slices of bacon, one large potato made into homefries (w/ a little onion & green pepper) and two slices of toast with grape jelly.
(sometimes substitute the bacon w/ 2 sausage links)
[once in a while I'll have two or three bowls of Raisin Bran] |

[once in a while I'll have two or three bowls of Raisin Bran] The people at the Baystate Medical Center weight management program would kill me on that diet. They don't like the Cocoa Puffs but they said better than bacon and eggs. I'm trying to work it off at the YMCA. Im down to 258 at 5' 5" (259 a week ago). My mother (who has cancer) eats Pop Tarts for breakfast. |

Who cares how healthy it is, they are Cocoa Puffs. That is like someone telling you McDonalds is not healthy - as if anyone ate at McDonalds thinking it was all good for them. |

You'd be better off ditching those and the peanut butter and toast and eat some greek yogurt with fruit in it instead. The peanut butter is probably crap like Jif which is sugared peanut flavor oil anyway. |

I often eat quaker old fashion oats with cinnamon and blueberries. Dog comes running when he hears the blueberries coming out to snag a few. Same with baby cut carrots and the crunchy part of romaine. |

I prefer to go by BF % rather then weight Weight is fairly irreverent, body fat percentage is more important because you can be 185 pounds and be lean and weigh 175 and be like a Goodyear blimp with biscuit rolls and all |

BMI is also a decent indicator; but Is far from perfect...
I'm 5'9" - 190# - my BMI is overweight, bordering on obese... But I carry a lot of muscle mass, which a straight BMI calculation doesn't conpensate for. I do carry some extra pounds, but not nearly as much as the BMI number would indicate... |

said by LazMan:BMI is also a decent indicator; but Is far from perfect... BMI is nowhere near decent. Even the people who came up with it say it's a good indicator for a large population sample but cannot be used for individuals. Put in the height and weight of athletes in a BMI calculator and see what happens. |
