Well, cereal doesn't require any salt to begin with (and neither do baked goods, except for maybe pretzels), but sugar IS necessary.

However, they surely can KEEP that damned SUCRALOSE (artificial sweetener) shit which is creeping into so many processed foods lately !

I didn't like any of its predecessors for one reason or another, and this is more of same.

Prob'ly deserves its own separate rant, but anyway....

CORN SYRUP OR HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP....RUINS THE TASTE AND SWEETNESS OF ANY FOOD IT IS PUT IN....it will give a sickeningly sweet character, and it also DULLS the flavor as well.

Taking that out and putting sugar in sirea mist actually made it taste way like crap the sweetness is way overpowering now!

There are two obvious possibilities.
1) That they did not get the right amount of sugar into the product.

Or

2) Which I think is more likely...that your palate has been conditioned to HFCS and your taste buds need to readjust to the pure sugar. Usually using sugar (in the right amount) helps to create a more intense clean flavor that "pops" and is "crisp" versus the dull and slimy feel that comes with corn syrups.

I can tell IMMEDIATELY when drinking soda with sugar vs soda with corn syrups.
A good soda with pure cane sugar is ALWAYS superior to the version made with
HFCS.

Some of you should read the book in defense of food.

Nope Mexican Coke Tastes really good for me. It's smoother and crisper.
