I want to change my Avatar I had a CT Scan of my brain last week and got the data on a CD to play with.
I managed to make a
animated GIF but it's rather large and lacks detail. I posted a clip to
youtube and also made a 10.7 MB quicktime movie.
Materns TJ.m4v10670917 bytes (Materns TJ.m4v.zip) If the Avatar Gurus here would work your magic and put together an animated, looping avatar, I would be eternally grateful.

to Coma Youtube link leads to youtube homepage. zip file is damaged. OK, managed to rename file by adding .zip before downloading. I was then able to unzip.

Thanks, I'll give it a test run for a few weeks to see how it works.
Otherwise I'll just go with a static image . . . maybe

to Coma Sorry buddy, CCat
's .gif is about the best that can be done within the site restrictions.
I converted the QT clip to .gif in PS and found that just 2 quality images exceeds the 8KB file size restriction, so even removing frames won't work.
Here's a full quality 50 x 50 @ 333KB GIF.
CT scan.zip326340 bytes I may be able to get the file size down to around 80KB without losing too much quality but that is still much larger than site restrictions allow.

to fourboxers Time to change the FAQ.

Am I missing something?

uploaded above is 119KB.

to Coma After some further discussions the new limit will be 32kb. 128 is just too much for a page load when we're not a graphics site but all about the text. Anyone feel free to edit mine down to that limit.
to Coma Thanks @fourboxers, changed FAQ to the latest official file size (and thanks to dslr for giving us a reasonable size to play with!

to fourboxers So the new limit is 50x50 and 32k?
I added the 50X50 pixels in the FAQ assuming that hasn't been changed CCat. *mumbles "I still have an old 40X40 saved"*
to CCat Yes.

Absolutely and good to know too.

to dandelion I had to give it a try at that size too.

to dandelion Looks like the size requirement is in more than one FAQ and this one needs updated too.
