Start.ca → [Internet] Transfer question

I have a question about transferring service.

Originally, I requested for my transfer to happen on March 2nd (my rogers cancellation date) and for reasons unknown, Start has put it for the 3rd. My question is, if I return my rogers modem on the 2nd, will it mess anything up with the transfer process?

I would suggest waiting until 3rd to return the modem. Thanks.

Okay I will reply back later if any issues do arise. I am returning the modem today.

update: All is good, plugged in Start modem, and internet works.
