Fox (Ch. 25) HartfordAnyone that have this channel, and is recording anything on the multi-room server notice upon playback that you get blackouts on the screen intermittently? It's been happening over a month now during every single show that's recorded.
I've been in contact with tech support repeatedly. They call me, I call them. They credited me $7....but I still have the problem.
First I was told no one else is experiencing it. Now, one person called having experienced it on a show they recorded. Tech has been able to recreate it.. If you rewind and play, it still happens in the same spot. It doesn't happen when you're watching the program or when saved on the hard drive DVR. So after a month, they're saying that someone still has to come out here. Now sure what they can do since the problem is on their Cloud where the recording is saved...or so I was told. |

Does the Optimum App also black-out there too? |

I didn't think to check that until just now... Both my cell and my iPad Optimum app say "This feature is currently not available. Please try again later.' I'll check once it's back up. |

Sorry, I meant does live tv on the app via the channel also cut out? That is the closest to a test that you could do to see if it's a problem with the source that is being recorded or with the individual recordings. Though if it's always 1 channel, it's likely the original source for MR-DVR that is the issue. |

Interesting...Live TV on the app...Fox is blacking out as well, but the TV on Fox doesn't do that. Just checked both. I recorded 10 mins. of Nascar earlier today on the TV as a test, live was fine, but the recording was doing it more than usual.
So in this case any ideas? I don't have a multi-room DVR box. Just the channel, 1001. My DVR is the one with the hard drive so my husband can have live rewind or whatever it's called during sports. Thanks for giving me something to check...almost 5 weeks and nothing from cable other than a call almost every morning to see if it is still doing it. |
