What are the best these days for consumers then? Netgear? Linksys? |

Linksys is an immediate subsidiary of Cisco Systems - that's getting a bit closer to Industrial grade. Netgear, not so much. You have to have manufacturer assurances that some level of quality testing and benchmarking is passed to avoid having to change out your equipment every time an instance like this arises. |

Not so much. Cisco sold its Linksys Home Networking division to Belkin two years ago. » www.cisco.com/web/about/ ··· kin.html |

What I said was based on my best information - not an attempt to hijack your thread.
As I'd indicated, D-Link is a home router you see on the exploited list more often than others. If Cisco sold Linksys - so be it. Thanks for crossing the T's. |

Jeremy Kirk writes for some popular IDG sites. He's tweeted some recent info on the recent rash of routers being borked by crappy code or just being bad equipment that perhaps should not have been shipped in the first place. » twitter.com/jeremy_kirkSome handy links as there's support and discussion right here - » D-Link» Linksys |
