I believe is it is a step above Local Package. As well as it does not have any Sports channels, so no RSN fees. |

doing a quick google search apparently DirecTV and several other provides have all dumped TWC over the last year. and all based on the same reasons, more reality tv crap and less actual weather.
that being said, there should be some type of happy medium between a crappy widget, or this current 619 of the "some random person giving you vague info about the entire nation...and maybe a city near you will eventually scroll by at the bottom"
they could easily just use government radar feeds without any cost and could easily be auto-set based on your IP location to show the appropriate location |

this is absolutely hilarious » www.weather.com/news/new ··· zon-fiosaside from all 4 tweets by people who were then have been retweeted once, out of millions of customers and that one guy who actually canceled his service for Time Warner because apparently his son wants to be Sam Champion when he grows up, is mind boggling. |

A bunch of tweets are TWC employees too. I wonder, if they get caught and it is brought to light I think it would doom their efforts at TWC. I doubt it is being orchestrated by management. |

Verizon is finally "trying" to fix channel 49. They changed the splash screen, it says to press the Fios TV button to activate the WeatherBug widget, but that doesn't work, that button brings up that My Fios TV dashboard screen, at least for me anyway. Anybody else see this error? |

It's actually **gasp** working perfectly as designed on the Quantum boxes.
FIOS TV brings the Weatherbug widget right up.
I mean, you guys can keep your fancy, non-bug ridden IMG - we have a widget! |

I don't know what you have read. Only Directv dropped the Weather Channel for 3 months before reaching an agreement. |

What a joke that WeatherBug widget forecast is anyway. It says I will be 45 degrees tomorrow when it's going to be in the mid-30's snowing, and it says 39 for Saturday when it's going to be near 50 according to both Accuweather & TWC. Where does the WeatherBug get their info from? I remember when we first got this widget a few years ago I noticed it was giving me ridiculous forecasts also, I see it hasn't improved. |

Oh, I left out the most hilarious part. It says tomorrow will be mostly sunny with 20% chance of precip, when it's going to snow all day, LOL. It doesn't even mention the word "snow." What a joke! I feel sorry for anyone who looks at it and thinks that's what the weather will really be. |

It could be wishful thinking though lol, I hope they're right! Damn the snow! All seriousness, I use their weatherbug elite app on my phone and currently they have the forecast correct, so it must be an issue with the app/widget not updating properly. I never used it on the box as it was way to slow to launch... |

But every other forecast says it's going to snow 2-4" here tomorrow! A joke? It's worse than a joke, it's embarrassing. |

@Polodude10 that's not true ken.. there is currently an agreement.. as i understand" Ken I wish you would ask Sam about their promise last year to do away with their reality programming and returning back to 24/7 365 ACTUALLY live (not the pretend live loops) weather information, storm coverage, and forecasting. I dont think they ever said that do you have a link ? You still never posted that story. |

If it is a lot of TWC employees, at least they are creative with their posts. Not a lot of cut and paste of the exact same wording. |

Go look at how many posts say these words - and always in bold letters - THEY ARE ENDANGERING LIVES BY REMOVING THE WEATHER CHANNEL! My feeling is if TWC is the only thing keeping you alive during a weather event, then maybe you're too stupid to live. |

We're getting hit with a snow storm in the Philly area today and guess what, I get all the information I want from the local TV web sites or Various other web sites online.
What Weather Channel employees are worried about; is there jobs. Verizon could be starting a trend here that other cable outlets follow. |
