Teksavvy says yes service, Rogers says no service?

I'm doing some ISP vetting for a (not technically savvy) friend who is moving to a bit of a rural area. I called Teksavvy tonight with the exact address and postal code and was advised that there is no DSL coverage (which I had hoped there might be), but there was (surprising to me) cable internet coverage.

Calling Rogers to correlate things, using the exact same address info, they advise there is NO cable service available at that address.

Is this likely a mistake in the Teksavvy system, or do they actually offer cable internet service in areas not actually covered by Rogers from the onset? Or is there something I'm missing?

Hello oshawapilot,

There some very limited areas in Ontario serviced by other cable providers. We'd be happy to clarify this in the Teksavvy Direct Forum to protect the private address information of your friend.
