Hi there,
I got excited that there is, well, was, a promo on upgrading or signing up, but it wasn't clear enough. Mistake or not, lesson learn to be more careful what you guys post, especially promotions. When it spreads, it goes out. I even posted it on RFD and now it's all backfired.

I'm somewhat confused on whats free and whats not. So a family member currently has 6mbit DSL. If they upgrade to 15/1 ADSL OR 15/10 or higher is the install free. Or is this for only new customers new to Teksavvy?
Thanks |

Thanks New activation.. not from moving from one speed to another. that family member would have to put a new activation request ----- Secondly ( not direct at you bryanviper just quoted u for the first part) , i don't know where the confusion was, once i saw the promo i Understood it as new activation, that people on redflagdeals etc all worked up.. what is so hard to read? And members that recently signed up and paid the activation fee? well you signed up when the promo was not around, suck it up and move on.. should i complain that i signed up a few months back and paid..? What if they just decided last night, well we are going to have a promo tomorrow , out of the blue? we can't complain when a company does that or doesn't. we complain when they give us fair rates, we complain when they raise their prices, we complain when they offer a promotion and eat the cost, wtf else are we going to complain about? |

Hi there,
Well, the thing is, that the promotion says one thing, then it change to something else because it was an error/mistake. Lucky it wasn't advertised like in a flyer or a newspaper, it would have been very bad.

New customers or cable customers going to DSL. |

This is the promo I too advantage of back in 2012 when I switched from cable 28/1 to VDSL 25/10. From constant disconnects, massive outtages, high pings, extreme contestant, to a solid connection on VDSL. |

said by LastDon:, i don't know where the confusion was, once i saw the promo i Understood it as new activation, Well, that certainly depends which version of the Original Post you read! Did you scan this message thread? Did you see the original message, when it was posted? The OP has been edited numerous times. The original post Included upgrades from 6M Legacy to FTTN/VDSL, and Excluded NEW 6M activations. Quite a bit has changed.Anyway, it's still a good promo, for those that qualify! edit1: Is this promo on the TSI website somewhere? Anywhere else? edit2: Just realized the OP says " ... until 11:59PM EST on March 31st, 2015 ... ". I presume it should be "EDT"? |

At least they honour the original promo for those who called in before 9pm yesterday if this was someone else, they would cancel all request and call it a day. |

Where's all those complainers from Quebec that always says "TekSavvy never includes us in these kind of things!" Oh wait, that's right, they can't complain. Thanks for including Quebec in this promo guys. Got some family members who should be making the switch! |

I'm moving June 1st. Does the promo require "immediate" activcation, or can I sign up today and specify a date of June 2nd.
If I can future date my activation, does the promo apply if I am setting up at a new address but wanting to keep my monthly referral credits? |

Teksavvy never gets this so I am wondering if it's correct to use EST always for Eastern. Or is it really just wrong as it appears? |

I think you guys are splitting hairs ....
EST = Eastern Standard Time = Greenwich -5
It is simple, clair, correct, not sure what you are trying to prove |

Currently on 15/1 with Bell for home phone. Planning to cancel Bell home phone.
Would signing up for new account with 25/10 + dryloop be considered a new activation and fee reduced to $0? |

Is your DSL with us or Bell? |

Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, it wouldn't count towards the promo. |

Why not? if he requests the dry loop to be set up on the second pair (if available), its a completely new activation with Bell, requiring a tech visit and all..
Once its all active, he can cancel his Bell POTS and the old TSI DSL will no longer work and he can cancel it. |

Thanks for confirming. No point in upgrading I guess. |

This was my thinking as well. If I had a tenant and they wanted their own internet service, it would technically be a new activation.
Might as well try cable promo for now. |

Ah, darn it, I knew I should have just called in on the weekend. I guess I'll be sticking with my Legacy 6/800 connection for some more time. |
