I tried it out compared to speedtest.net and the one you recommend said I was getting 45 down and 8 up, whereas speedtest.net showed 144 down and 13 up.

Perhaps they are using non location optimized test servers?

It did look cool though.

interesting. I got longer pings but... I'm on a 60/10 package and it showed me getting 58 down. Maybe if start were to add themselves as a preferred server?

Looks like they improved the test, before was giving anywhere from 20 - 40 on my 60/10, 58/9. Pings are still high but that's to be expected with the long geography the traffic will have to route through.

Looks like the same HTML5 test speedof.me uses but looks to be more reliable.

I just tried it, I'm on the cCable side of Start with a 55/10 and got 57.1 / 9.98 »[Cable Speed test: 57.07/9.98 19 ms]

vs speedtest.net:

That test is weird. It's showing my 25/10 cable as 142/10.

Speedtest shows it correctly:

But I prefer Comcast's speed tester, as it tests IPv6 as well.
